About the producer
Põhjala was founded in Tallinn, Estonia, at the end of 2011 by four Estonians passionate about beer and homemade brewers.

Shortly after, the company was joined by a Scottish Brassor, Chris Pilkington, with a few years of experience at Brewdog to his credit.

The first beer of Põhjala, Öö Imperial Baltic Porter, was launched at the beginning of 2013 and, for most of this year, our beers were brewed in the production facilities of other breweries, while We were preparing to open our own brewery. The construction of our first brewery was completed in April 2014 in the Nõmme district of Tallinn.
