🔍 TO KNOW EVERYTHING…

The white wine without alcohol 0.4% Phenomenon is a dealcoholized white wine made from Burgundy Melon which is the unique grape variety of Muscadets.

It therefore offers lovers of dry white wine a remarkable flavor that is almost identical to that of an alcoholic wine such as Muscadet Sèvre and Maine sur Lie.

It is rich in aromas, flavors and character, making it a great alcohol-free alternative.

"It's very fresh, very surprising and destabilizing, since we have removed the structural framework of the wine which is the alcohol, but we keep the tangy side that we have in Muscadet with the pear, white fruits and citrus fruits.", explains Stéphane Cottenceau, the winemaker of Domaine de la Grenaudière

Specificities:
A unique grape variety, Melon B
Planted almost exclusively in Muscadet, Melon de Bourgogne is a grape variety with compact clusters and small yellow berries. This grape variety produces dry white wines of beautiful freshness.
Originally from Burgundy, as its name suggests, Melon B comes from a cross between Pinot Noir and Gouais Blanc.
This slightly aromatic grape variety reveals and expresses the diversity of the Muscadet terroirs.

Aging on lees, a tradition in Muscadet
At the Grenaudière estate, the wines are aged on lees for between 6 and 60 months. We age the wines in glass underground vats. The very good thermal inertia of these buried tanks allows quality storage and aging.
It is the culmination of meticulous and reasoned work from the vineyard to winemaking.
Aging on lees allows great stability to the wines and optimal maturation which gives them richness and aromatic complexity.

🧑‍🌾 ABOUT THE PRODUCER

Mathilde Ollivier and Stéphane Cottenceau represent the 8th generation of winegrowers at the Grenaudière estate, taking over from Guy and Jean-Luc Ollivier. The first generations were mixed farmers like the majority of farms at the time. Over time, the family farm has specialized in the cultivation of vines and the production of quality dry white wines. For 150 years, 4 generations have succeeded one another to get the best out of the Melon de Bourgogne (Melon B) grape variety, emblematic of Muscadet.
