Sweden's first and only sparkling wine free of alcohol. The Sparkling white wine Spumante - Oddbird 0.0% has its origins in the Italian province of Treviso, located in Veneto, known as the prosecco region.

Spumante is made using traditional prosecco methods, with larger bubbles and 100% Glera, coming exclusively from prestigious DOC- and DOCG vineyards.

Oddbird's Spumante white impresses with its elegant, fresh perlage as well as the taste experience of green apple, elderberry and grapefruit creating fresh Nashi pear tones.

The Spumante is matured for 12 months before being gently removed from the alcohol.

With the Oddbird Spumante white, a first-class sparkling wine arrives in the glass. It reveals a magnificent brilliant platinum yellow color. The bubbles of this sparkling wine are vital and persistent in the glass. On the nose, this Oddbird sparkling wine presents all kinds of green apples, elderberry and grapefruit. As if that wasn't already impressive, other flavors like nashi pear are added thanks to the aging in stainless steel.

The Oddbird Spumante white presents itself to the wine drinker pleasantly dry. This sparkling wine never appears coarse or austere, as one would expect from a high-quality wine. On the tongue, this light-footed sparkling wine is distinguished by an incredibly light texture. On the finish, this sparkling wine from the Veneto wine-growing region delights with its good length. We again find notes of grapefruit and elderberry.

Vinification of Oddbird Spumante white
This elegant sparkling wine from Italy is made from the Glera grape variety. After the manual harvest, the grapes are brought to the cellar by the quickest route. They are sorted there and delicately pressed. Next comes the fermentation of the base wines. After the blending of the vintage, aging continues using the Charmat method. It is followed by storage in bottle for 12 months. Once the wine is finished, the Spumante white is delicately de-alcoholized.

The birth of Oddbird
Founded in 2013 by Moa Gürbüzer, Oddbird is a testament to my dedication and vision. With over twenty years of experience as a family therapist and social worker, I have primarily addressed alcohol-related family issues. The pervasive and recurring nature of these issues had a profound impact on me, highlighting the profound negative influence of alcohol on society. Recognizing the urgent need for transformational change, I launched Oddbird. My mission? Challenge and reshape society's alcohol norms by introducing premium non-alcoholic beverages. I imagined a world where I asked myself, “Do you want your wine with or without alcohol?” » would be as routine as asking: “Do you prefer your coffee with or without milk?” » Today we reign as Scandinavia's leading producer of wine, beer and spirits, all alcohol-free.

Overcoming Initial Challenges

Starting a business in a male-dominated industry without prior winemaking experience presented many challenges. We had to learn branding, sales, liquid development, packaging and finance from scratch. Financial support was also hard to come by, with banks refusing loans. Not an uncommon problem when it comes to women-run businesses, it's still difficult to get financing. I'm very proud of where Oddbird has come over these 11 years and how we, against many expectations, have been able to establish ourselves worldwide.

The wines are matured for up to 12 months, then gently released from alcohol using a unique method that preserves the wine's natural flavors and aromas. Another unique product for Oddbird is our Spumante, made with exactly the same technique used when making prosecco. Not forgetting our red wines, where we've come a long way to crack the code for non-alcoholic red wines. For fall 2024, we were launching new products in new categories for Oddbird. Which means we are always busy exploring and innovating the alcohol-free section.
