A hoppy Blonde, without alcohol, but with body!

The blond beer Louis 0° Motte Cordonnier 0.5% - 33 cl is an alcohol-free blonde which is the continuation of a new range of more craft beer.

As always with Motte-Cordonnier, they are attached to malt. Here the malts remain present in smaller quantities to give it body and specific work has been done on fermentation to be below 0.5° alcohol. Everything is generously embellished with a mixture of local and American hops to give freshness and floral and citrus notes.

This refreshing beer will be perfect for all your moments of sharing!

To drink without moderation 😉 !

For each bottle of Louis sold, €1 will be donated to the Institut Pasteur de Lille Foundation in order to support their research work on the prevention and control of infectious diseases. This philanthropic partnership reflects our shared commitment to a healthier and more responsible future.

Specificities:
The Louis, created in partnership with the Institut Pasteur de Lille for its 130th anniversary, pays tribute to the legacy of Louis Pasteur, pioneer of microbiology. This hoppy alcohol-free blonde, produced by artisanal micro-fermentation, combines tradition and innovation for a rich tasting full of flavors.

Louis Pasteur revolutionized fermentation, allowing breweries in the North to perfect their art. At the beginning of the 20th century, the Motte-Cordonnier Brewery developed its know-how thanks to the work of Pasteur and training at the Pasteur Institute in Lille, where many of the brewery's engineers were trained in mastering fermentation.

🧑‍🌾 ABOUT THE PRODUCER

Some mention more distant dates but we have the written document which attests that in 1650 Pierre VALENTON was a brewer in Armentières along an arm of the Lys river. His son passed the brewery on to Jean de COUSSEMACKER who brought it into our family in 1752.
So in the lineage of these 3 generations of precursors, we have followed one another for 10 generations around this Armentierois passion for beer, for this clever blending and brewing of water, barley and hops.
This industrial adventure has been demanding; technological developments, wars, commercial practices and consumer tastes have forced these 13 generations of brewers to constantly question themselves, to reinvent themselves.
But the passion for beer is still there!
Based in Armentières, in the shadow of the building built by René MOTTE in 1922, we are inspired by his energy, his determination to recreate a brewery after the destruction of the 1914-1918 war. Our ambition: to one day be able to brew on the historic site!
Today, rich in this experience of almost 370 years, we have decided to offer you our range of beer. It started with René (a 6° blond beer), a Christmas beer, Bière de Famille (amber beer – 7°) then our triple beer, Emile, and more recently a dark beer, 100 years of the Beffroi.
