How to have fun?

Taste profile

You will love it if…
Whether you want to exceed the DLUO (Optimal Use By Date) or not, it is necessary to store your alcohol-free beers in good conditions to preserve or develop their aromas and flavors.

Non-alcoholic beer is sensitive to light and heat.

Also, there are 3 basic rules to respect:

Do not expose non-alcoholic beers to light, as this directly impacts the hops present in the drink, degrading them.

Since hops have preservative properties, their alteration will cause non-alcoholic beer to keep for a shorter period of time.

It can also develop unpleasant tastes.

Maintain non-alcoholic beer at a constant temperature, ideally between 10 and 15 degrees, in a cellar, like wine.

Too cold a temperature will alter the aromas.

Conversely, a temperature that is too hot will cause them to develop too quickly.

Hold non-alcoholic beer vertically to reduce risks by avoiding contact between the liquid and the cap.

This allows the yeast to settle quietly at the bottom of the bottle.

In a nutshell, non-alcoholic beer does not have a shelf life but only an optimal or minimum shelf life.

Therefore, the DLUO can easily exceed several weeks/months without being as long as bad.

And in any case, you must remember that this will not pose a health hazard.

🧑‍🌾 ABOUT THE PRODUCER

LINDEMANS BREWERY
Our family has owned a farm since the dawn of time.
It is also to occupy (and quench the thirst) of the farmers working in our fields in winter that we started the brewing activity. With time and success, our agricultural activities declined in favor of the development of the brewery.

The function creates the organ, said Darwin.

Today, we are further expanding our brewery to share the love of our beers beyond our borders.

We are indeed convinced that the very particular characteristics of our beers are a great asset in a world where standardization reigns.

6 generations of lambic brewers
The “Hof ter Kwade Wegen”, a name which does not bode well since it literally means “the farm of bad roads”…

However, it is in this old farm in Vlezenbeek that a beautiful brewing history has been written since 1822.

It was in fact that year that Joos Frans Lindemans pledged loyalty to Francisca Josina Vandersmissen, the highly coveted daughter of Maria Anna Van Dorselaer and Petrus Jacobus Vandersmissen, owners of the farm.

Joos Frans loves life on the farm, but he wants to prove himself in another way. In the evening, his hands still sore from having plowed the land, he sets about stirring the lambic. During the winter months, the seventy-five hectares of land and meadows on his farm have little work to offer the numerous workers. The latter then come to join him in the brewery. This is how what was initially a hobby quickly became the main activity of the farm.

Since 1822, six generations of pioneers have succeeded one another at the “Hof ter Kwade Wegen”, first as farmer-brewers, later – from the second half of the 1950s – solely as brewers. Under the influence of these 6 generations of Lindemans, our brewery has become one of the main lambic producers in the region and the world.
